Banque et Caisse d’Épargne de l’État, Luxembourg (Spuerkeess) is pleased to announce that it has joined the Covered Bond Label by the European Covered Bond Council (ECBC), a recognised seal of transparency and of best market practices in the European covered bond
market.
The Label is widely recognised as the benchmark for transparency in the European covered bond market. Today, it covers more than 150 issuers across nearly 30 jurisdictions in Europe, providing investors with access to a standardised disclosure framework and enhancing comparability between programmes.
The award of the Covered Bond Label reflects Spuerkeess’ commitment to providing investors with a high level of transparency and disclosure regarding its covered bond programme. By adhering to the Label’s reporting standards, the Bank ensures that investors have access to harmonised, comprehensive and regularly updated information on the programme and its cover assets.
The recognition follows the recent establishment of Spuerkeess’ Mortgage Covered Bond Programme, which is backed by a portfolio of high-quality residential mortgage loans in Luxembourg. The programme forms part of the Bank’s broader strategy to diversify its funding sources, strengthen its presence in international capital markets and support the long-term financing of the Luxembourg economy.
Claude Origer, Head of Department Global Markets at Spuerkeess: « The award of the Covered Bond Label marks an important milestone in the development of our covered bond programme. Beyond recognising our commitment to the highest standards of transparency and investor disclosure, it further enhances the international visibility of our programme and broadens our access to the European covered bond investor community. »
