Founded in 2021 in Luxembourg, emma enables organizations to build, manage, and
optimize cloud infrastructure through a single operating layer. Its cloud management

By joining LU-CIX, emma provides Luxembourgish organizations with a sovereign
cloud operating environment that combines centralized cloud management, locally
operated bare metal and GPU infrastructure, and direct national interconnection.
This integrated approach reduces dependency on hyperscalers and public Internet
transit, supports Luxembourg’s data sovereignty objectives, and enables

platform, its infrastructure, and its customers. As Luxembourg’s Internet Exchange,
LU-CIX enables participating networks to interconnect locally, reducing network
hops and external dependencies and ensuring lower latency, more consistent
performance, and improved resilience for organizations operating in Luxembourg.
