A national strike has been announced in Portugal on 3 June 2026, which is expected to affect multiple sectors across the country, including aviation and ground handling services.
Luxair is closely monitoring the situation and taking all possible steps to minimise disruption and maintain the smoothest service possible. Based on the current planning, Luxair flights to and from Lisbon and
Porto are the most impacted. Luxair flights to and from Funchal (Madeira) and Faro are expected to operate, although delays may occur.
Luxair will communicate any changes directly to affected Luxair and Luxairtours customers through the contact details provided in their booking. Passengers travelling through the affected airports in Portugal
are strongly advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure, as longer waiting times are to be expected.
Luxair will provide an update early next week if further information is available.
