New Country Managing Partner named for EY Luxembourg

We are delighted to announce that Alban Aubrée has been appointed as the new Country Managing Partner at EY Luxembourg, succeeding Olivier Coekelbergs who has led the practice since 2020 and has been appointed as the new Managed Services Leader for Financial Services in Europe West. Both appointments are effective from 1 July 2025.

Alban Aubrée, new Country Managing Partner for EY Luxembourg

Alban Aubrée has been designated as the new EY Luxembourg Country Managing Partner.
Alban joined EY in 2002 and became Partner in 2015, making significant contributions over the years; he has also served as the CFO/COO since July 2020. Part of the Country Leadership Committee and with over 23 years of experience, Alban brilliantly led operational excellence and strategic growth initiatives throughout the firm in various roles within the company.

Alban brings a deep understanding of the financial services market, having specialized in Private Equity since 2008. He has gained valuable experience in the audit of Private Equity and venture capital structures, as well as alternative investments funds specialized in debt investments across Europe. His leadership in this new role and deep expertise will be pivotal in driving continued success for the firm.

Olivier Coekelbergs, new Managed Services Leader for Financial Services in EY Europe West

Olivier Coekelbergs joined EY in 2004 as an auditor in Private Equity and took over leadership of that practice in 2012. Under his lead between 2012 and 2020, the Private Equity practice of EY Luxembourg more than tripled in size and became the largest industry sector of EY Luxembourg.

Olivier has led EY Luxembourg for the past five years, during which the firm has doubled in size – with $500m revenue milestone within reach – thanks to the strong strategic vision of Olivier and the investments he made on many fronts, notably in the digitization of the business. Olivier has also played an active in role in the promotion of Luxembourg and its attractiveness.

With his impressive track-record to generate growth, he will now embrace a new role as the Managed Services Leader for Financial Services in EY Europe West. This strategic role will drive growth in EY financial services across the Europe West region, as EY meets the evolving needs of clients and rapidly growing demand for managed services solutions and sees Managed Services as a key area of development.

“I am extremely proud of what we have achieved over the past 5 years in Luxembourg, and I am sure Alban will continue the success story. I will soon close a great chapter of my professional life to open a new one at a European level”, says Olivier Coekelbergs.

Both Alban and Olivier will take on their new positions starting from 1 July 2025.
