Time flies when you’re moving fast! Exactly one year ago, Uber officially hit the streets of Luxembourg in collaboration with WEBTAXI – and what a ride it’s been. Since 18 June 2024, Uber has been working with WEBTAXI, one of Luxembourg’s leading taxi providers and an independent company wholly owned by the Emile Weber group. Thanks to this collaboration, Uber has quickly become a go-to option for anyone looking to get from A to B with ease.
From business travellers zipping between meetings to tourists landing at the airport and firing up the app before they’ve even picked up their luggage, Luxembourg has truly welcomed Uber with open arms. One of the most loved routes? No surprise here: trips between the airport and the city center top the list. And for those commuting between business districts – Uber has become part of the daily routine for many.
Much of this success can be credited to the professional drivers of WEBTAXI. Their high service quality has helped enhance the Uber rider experience in Luxembourg. A year into the partnership, both companies are celebrating how well the collaboration has worked. “Working with Uber has opened new opportunities for our drivers and customers in Luxembourg,” says Emile Weber, CEO of the Emile Weber Group and WEBTAXI.
Riders agree. Whether it’s a ride home after a dinner downtown, a quick trip to the train station, or that all-important airport run, locals and visitors alike have embraced the convenience of Uber.
Laurent Slits, director for Uber in Luxembourg, reflects on a memorable first year: “We couldn’t be more pleased with how Uber has been embraced in Luxembourg. Our first year in the Grand Duchy has been a success – riders love the convenience of the Uber app, and drivers have gained valuable new earning opportunities. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to support Luxembourg’s mobility.”
Uber’s arrival in Luxembourg has made it easier than ever to get around — whether you’re a resident, a visitor, or just in town for a quick meeting. With a successful year behind them, Uber and WEBTAXI are excited to keep the momentum going.
